Celebrating a Day of Champions
What an incredible day we had at Roy Anderson Field! PSD’s first-ever Day of Champions exceeded every expectation and reminded us why inclusion and community matter so deeply.
On Friday, June 13, PSD schools came together for something truly special. Day of Champions wasn’t just another field day — it was a celebration of every student’s unique abilities, a testament to our district’s commitment to inclusion, and a joyful reminder that when we adapt and embrace differences, magic can happen.
Just under 200 students participated, and over 100 staff and volunteers attended. From the moment the buses arrived, the energy was infectious. Students came together for adaptive field events, shared meals, earned medals, and danced together.
This event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of our PSD Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC), the Special Education Department, and the volunteers who stepped up to make this vision a reality.
We’ve created a special virtual photo album featuring highlights from throughout the day. Browse through the photos and relive the magic of the moment.
Thank you to every family that trusted us with their students, every volunteer who gave their time, and every staff member who went above and beyond for our students. Here’s to celebrating every champion in our district!
